Leadership Development and Scholarships

Omicron continues to build men of character who will go on to be leaders in their careers and communities. To continually accomplish these goals, Omicron sponsors our undergraduates’ attendance at training sessions, seminars, chapter and officer retreats, and other events and programs. These programs educate our men in key skills necessary to operate and improve the chapter, manage a $400,000 annual budget, enhance their career skills, and become solid citizens.

A goal of $250,000 for leadership assistance has been established to continually train our young men in the skills they need to lead, manage, and operate a 80+ person organization and a $400,000 annual operating budget. As an endowment, this would generate approximately $10,000 annually.

Scholarship Assistance

Today’s college costs are, well, stratospheric. Tuition plus Omicron’s house bill costs our undergraduates approximately $25,000 (in-state) and $37,000 (out-of-state) annually. An undergraduate education, including room, board, books, and miscellaneous costs easily exceeds $100,000.

A goal of $250,000 for scholarship endowments has been established. This would generate approximately $10,000 annually in scholarship assistance to our chapter members.

Omicron can accept leadership or scholarship donations in three ways.

Endowed scholarships may be established via:

  • Penn State
  • Omicron Educational Foundation
  • The Phi Kappa Tau Foundation

All gifts for scholarships through these organizations are tax deductible and ensure that your funds assist worthy Omicrons. Donors may arrange specific terms and criteria for scholarship.
